obd2 headache..
heres the story.. ive been running a obd2 simulator for quite sometime now.. it has 3 wires on it.. one wire taps into the o2 sensor power wire, one wire taps into the o2 sensor ground wire, and the o2 sensor signal wire is cut and ran into the other wire on the simulator that is suppose to tell the ecu that the o2 sensor is working fine.. its worked for about 5 months.. and i threw a CEL light today.. the code reads HEATER SIGNAL from the o2 sensor.. thats the only wire that wasnt touched on the o2 sensor.. if i cut my heater signal wire and tapped it into the o2 sensor wire on the simulator would that stop it from throwing a signal? i also heard running a resistor to the heater signal wire also works..
