obd2 engine and harness in obd1 car

Default obd2 engine and harness in obd1 car

obd2 gsr and obd2 harness going in a 95 civic ex. i want to run a obd1 ecu p72 or p28 chipped. what all needs to be done to use the obd2 engine harness for this setup.

You don't use a stepdown/conversion harness in this case. If you're running an OBD1 P72 you'll need to repin A20 to A17 at the ECU.

Learn something new everyday. I always thought if you went from OBD2a/b to OBD1 you needed one but if all you need to do is re-pin one wire...

ECU plugs are still OBD1. All you're changing is the engine harness, '92 - '95 civic are two piece. Instead of the one piece design '96 - '00 Civics use.
