OBD1 TO OBD2. SO I CAN PASS CALI bar.. 94 SI HATCH WITH 99 GSR.
what do i need to do to get all the wiring for the obd2 set up. beside taking the obd1 wire harness out and puttin a new obd2 harness in. i need to get the code reader connector and the extra o2 sensor on it in order for me to pass the state ref. BAR. in cali. do they sell a set up for what im lookin to do to my car. thankz i really need help on this..

yeah i agree keep it obd-1, in my expierence with state ref just keep your wiring clean, and everything stock to the best of your ability. Make sure your cat is still good and hoses, etc. let your car warm and you'll pass with flying colors.

the engine bay is clean an the wiring is clean. i know i can pass the smog. i just think they might fail me on the visial. thats the problem. thankz for ur help. here is my read out as of today. when and got a test run.
15 mph hc=52, co=0.05 no=19
25mph hc=28 co=0.02 no=12
what yall think. the only problem i have now is that the motor is a obd2 but im runnin it as a obd1 with a stock p72. what will i need to do to get my car to pass. thankz for the help.. anyone know good place to go get state ref at in the 909 area.

you should have any problem passing, i think you should say its a 94-95 gsr motor? cause its an obd-1 wiring, and "dont ask dont tell" lol your reading are good, you should have any problems passing.

the only thin they would run is the b18c1. my friend has a 99 gsr in his hatch, same set up as you obd-1. he pass with flying colors, and when the ref people ask him what year he said 95 and that was it. they had no reason to run the vin, but i cant say the same for you in your area tho, but good luck.

Do the reff center technicians know that obd1 motors do not have vin's? And how do they know what year ecu is in the car? (ie: 95 car must have same or newer year swap)? How do they find out? Sorry to threadjack.
