obd1 motor into obd2 civic
im posibly getting a 97 civic coupe for reallly cheap like 1800 bux for the shell. i have a 95 gsr swap i want to put in it.other than the obd 2 ecu ill need, will it be possible to put the 95 gsr motor in the 97 civic as long as i use a obd 2 distributor and obd 2 injectors and a obd 2 altenator? or will that not work?

I just did the same thing but with a b16 and if you do not want to go out and buy a new dizzy and alternator you can just rewire the plugs. It doesnt take too long. People say you just have to match the colors but my colors were all different so youll have to get a cheapy chiltons or get the pinouts on the internet. As for the injectors all b and d series injectors are the same, like 240cc. So you can just swap the stock d series injectors onto the gsr. Then you have to get a obd2 to bod1 conversion harness and connect up the obd1 ecu.

cant say it any better........ Also, in CA. its illegal to put an older motor in a newer car. I dont know how your emissions is over there, but you should check before actually doing it.
