Re: OBD1 into EK (kaoticstyles)
Make sure you are 100% u got it repinned corrcetly and it should work fine. I have an obd1 B16 in my EK with a repinned obd1 dizzy and it works great. If that doesn't work you can but your obd2 dizzy internals inside the obd1 housing.
To swap them you need to take the cap off, then the rotor, then slide that black piece off.
Find the coil it's held in place by two screws that are horizontal. Take those out and slide the coil pack out.
Then check it out you will see three screws that seem to hold the whole thing in place. Take those out, now flip the dizzy over and use a small screwdriver to take the retaining clip off the end of the shaft, slide the pin out and take the end wheel thing off. Bed careful to remember which way it goes because if you put it together wrong your dizzy will be 180 degrees off.
After you've taken that wheel gear thing off you can slip it back over and start to pull the whole thing out, pull it an inch or two and you will notice underneath there are two pieces bolted to the bottom of the housing take those out and everything should come out all right. It's a really easy thing to do.
