Default OBD1 IACV

I have a 95 with a d16z6. My car is throwing an IACV code so i looked online, and a lot of people are saying that they work for 92-2000 civics. I'm assuming this isn't true because of the different OBD systems. So i guess my question is will the valve work from any OBD 1 D series engine? I'm having a hard time finding one for a d16 but i can find plenty from d15s.

Thanks in advance.

Short answer..no

You can try cleaning it by taking it off and soaking/blasting it with carb cleaner until all of junk is gone. If that does not work then...

Go to Rockauto.com, look up 1995 honda civic w/ 1.6 SOHC - Fuel and Air - Idle Air Control Valve

You can go with:

Standard Ignition Products AC188
Airtex 2H1005

Both are reputable brands.
