Default obd1 GSR IAB wiring problem help!

Hello im new to HT and I have a 94 eg coupe with a obd1 gsr swap, was running with a p28 then switched to p72 ecu. Wired up the knock sensor so now more check engine light but i cant get the secondaries wired up!!! Ive searched, and tried many things suggested but nothing.. The little two-pin plug that hooks in on the drivers side under the manifold has two wires ones pinkw/blue stripe and a black so heres things of what i have done and tried

pink/blue run to pin a17 on ecu and black to a ground-nothing

pink/blue run to a17 black to ecu fuse 15 in the fuse box-smoke, spark and burned insulation surrounding black wire AARRGGH

Any other input or suggestions? There is no vacuum coming from the hose secondaries remain open at all time i already have a wire ran to the ecu just not too sure where to go from here.. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

Ok, so the pink wire from the IAB is going to go to the A17 pin of the ecu and the black wire to the ground (a good place is the thermostat housing). If u have the lil black vacumm can that is on the under side of the manifold hooked up right it should work. U have to have the evap purge solinoid hooked up to A20 as well. The GSR manifold may suck to some extent but it helps to make some good mid range power.

yeah that's what i was figuring and why i was trying to hook it back up with the p72 i got a pretty good deal on it and probably just make my money back selling the p28 ill give that a shot and recheck the vacuum lines when i can, stupid rain
