obd1 dist to Obd2 Harness *seached plenty
Im doin a b20vtec in a 2000 civic ex and am using an obd1 dist. Ive looked through various threads on obdb2-0 , or single cam obd1-0 and plenty others but havent found a thread about the same issue im having. Im pretty much wanting to repin my B16 vtec obd1 dist to work with my 2000 ex harness,so it can be a plug and play affair. I need to know wat colors go to wat. the obd2 dist has 8 wires and the obd1 has 9 . can anyone help? thanks
heres wat im workin with:
copy and paste it into your brower and add the extra W before the link. ww.i46.photobucket.com/albums/f142/stinkyslinky/plugg.jpg
* UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok. I have gotten many responses and Pms , the only thing is people are tellin me different colors do different things. they mention orange wires, which im assumin are the tan lookin wires on my dist. can anyone get a DEFINITE answer to wire in :
OBD1 B16a Distributor into
2000 civic EX engine harness OBD2B
anyone please thanks

damn, it's not. It's OBD2a.
This should be correct:
OBD2B=OBD1
YEL/GRN=YEL/GRN
BLU=BLU/GRN
GRN=ORN/BLU
YEL=ORN
BLK/YEL=BLK/YEL (On the obd1 2 wire plug)
WHT=BLU/YEL
RED=WHT/BLU
BLK=WHT
This should be correct:
OBD2B=OBD1
YEL/GRN=YEL/GRN
BLU=BLU/GRN
GRN=ORN/BLU
YEL=ORN
BLK/YEL=BLK/YEL (On the obd1 2 wire plug)
WHT=BLU/YEL
RED=WHT/BLU
BLK=WHT

That blue wire isn't connected to the OBD2b plug, so I didn't put it in the list. But it's the other wire on the 2-wire OBD1 plug. When that plug is hooked up, the Black/Yellow wire will be on the bottom and the Blue wire will be on top; like this

Re: (Ch3mik)
I thought they are the same exact color codes, just two other wires goto the other plug.
also you could just order an adapter http://locashracing.com/store/...be64e
i just can't figure out where the conversion chart is located.

I have it hooked up like this and its misfiring, the timing is dead one, the valves were just adjusted, the plugs and wires are fine, weve tried 2 distributors . anyone have an idea of wat else it could be? im getting no CEL and all the threads i found on misfiring point to all the stuff ive checked already. :/

Re: (IntegraTypeR)
it ended up being the valves causin it to misfire. they were so far outta spec.

is the correct way. the blue wire gets connected to the single blue wire by itself on the drvr side close to the firewall. its a single wire with a plug on the end , with a rubber cover on it. its mounted on a small bracket. you cant miss it. I just depinned the wire and ran the blue dist wire up to that one underneath the manifold
