OBD1 b16a, OBD2B harness, OBD2b -> OBD1 harness, P30 ECU. Runs like shat?
its my turn to post a help me thread.
i just put my obd1 jdm b16a in to my 2000 EK.
i am using a 99-00 civic Si harness, boomslang fabracation OBD2B -> OBD1 harness, and all going to my OBD1 P30 ECU.
now their are a couple of plugs left unpluged. for one, the crank fluctuation sensor is unplugged. and also the purge evap sol. is unpluged.
there also is a plug that has a connector that looks like the IACV plug but its got about a foot of wire to it. i can not thing of what this connects to.
i've tryed swapping the map and TPS but no avail..
it will barly idle, emits code immeaditaly. i tryed to pull the code and it just does long flashes. (code 10 maby? IAT sensor) yea i dont have one but would not having that make it run like absolute garbage and not hold RPM?? when i press the gas and try to keep it at like 3000 RPM, it holds for about 2 seconds and then goes down like its running out of gas or somthing.
any and all ideas would be helpfull.

how many long flashes before a pause?
you have to decypher the code before trying anything else.
10 - IAT sensor
20 - ELD sensor
30 - Auto trans signal (is it an Auto P30?
80 - EGR insufficient flow
90 - Evap emissions control
you can tell if you ECU is auto or manual by reading the case P30-A01? P30-052?
the second number in in the second set of numbers means the auto/manual status. 0 = manual, 5 = auto.
then again it could be an auto and converted. We'll cover that bridge if we have to.

Re: (Relic1)
i say kick the conversion harness n get a 99-00 si ecu, i think that might help, plus ur car shows as a obd2, therefor if u have to pass inspection it helps cause as we all know older engine or suv/truck.....= no go in most states. Thats my setup that is being done as we speak, i believe my wiring guy said he had to add a sensor or 2 for the obd2 ecu, but thats all good
