Re: obd1-2 dizzy question
I'm confused you have a EM1 or EX.
If you have the stock wire harness, just order the TD-81U stock EM1 Distributor (and you are good to go).
You mean "b16a - obd1" because the b16b are obd2 and this dizzy should be plug and play.

Re: obd1-2 dizzy question
Could the ecu be obd1? Or maybe just a bad dizzy? I will point out the tach does bounce maybe a 1/8 inch when u first start it..but thats it

For be sure check your old distributor in the top bolt base.

Your harness has to have this plug? Right.

Re: obd1-2 dizzy question
Idk about the numbers but the plug is the same...i had to give it to them for a core. I'm sure its just a bad dizzy. What I get for getting it at auto zone. Life time warranty is the only reason why I did...

Re: obd1-2 dizzy question
Does your car have a conversion harness between the original plugs and the ECU? Or check the ECU code i.e. P28, P2T, etc.
But no matter what ECU you have obd1 or obd2, you should use obd1 or obd2 distributor. So you use the one that plug directly to your EM1 harness (TD- 81,84,86,87).

Re: obd1-2 dizzy question
No, 96-98 obd2a - 99-2000 obd2b.
I'll give a try to a other distributor, if your car was working right and the plugs are the same. Then maybe you get a bad one.

Re: obd1-2 dizzy question
Yes, most sure is a p28 or p06 chipped. the two of them just look for one 02 sensor.
But still you can use the obd2 Distributor.
Bad new dizzy or check the connections in the plug ( the aftermarket distributor plug pins tend to move to the back and not make contact).
