Default obd conversion help

hey guys, I have a problem that I've come too and need some help. Tried searching but didn't find any answers.

I've got an obd2a-obd1 conversion harness and a P06 ecu, I'm trying to put them in my 96 dx coupe. the ecu isn't chipped, but will be later on.

I tried plugging in the new ecu just to make sure that it worked right before a chip it, and the car starts, but soon after the MIL comes on and it starts idling odd. it's not a jumping idle, but just bouncing 200 rpm or so up and down. I'm thinking IACV, but need some expert opinion. I thought that obd conversion didn't require anything but the ecu and harness, is there something else I need?

thanks

Your DX is equipped with a 3-wire IACV. The P06 ECU you are using can only work with a 2-wire IACV.

Change your IACV to a 2-wire one.

I am, thats what this thread is about

what would be the benefits of this

AFter doing some of my own research, I found out what I need to do I think. I already have a d16y8 intake manifold swapped onto my Y7, so I just need to unplug my 2 IACV holes and put the Y8 IACV on there, and then switch to a Y8 throttle body. Thanks for trying to help though
