obd-1 swap into obd-2 EK
Im swaping an obd-1 lsvtec into my obd-2 EK and need to know what harness to use. The stock dx harness does not plus into the motor at all. So what harness am i supose to use??

if its a 96-98 use the ex harness from a 96-98, if its a 99-00 use a ex/si harness from a 99-00

Yes, the 96-98 EX harness will plug right into the obd-1 motor. The only big thing is, the ECU from your OBD1 motor is not going to fit, you'll have to get a OBD2A ecu or chipped p28 with jumpers.

You'd have to convert the distributer to 96-00 unless you know how to rewire the distributer from OBD1 to OBD2. I once rewire the distributor on an LS from OBD1 to OBD2 and it works fine. Look at the wire colors and look at the connectors, make sure the wire colors matches. Good Luck.
