i recently got a sir2 clip from japan direct in NC(great to do biz with). the owner of the clip had some aftermarket stuff on it like eibach springs,bilsteins,what i beleive to be endless brake pads(for sale),etc. after driving it for a while i started to notice that my vtec was engaging @6000 and my rev limiter gets up to at least8600 and i swear it went to 9000 once . gas mileage has'nt been the greatest but i kinda wrote it off to having shorter gears. if anybody knows what program i'm runnin plese let me know. thanx

hmmmm....I wouldn't be revving a stock b16 to much over 8200 rpms.

Can't say what program you got, but it isn't stock.....

i havent touched the valvecover i dont even know if its stock. my friend got a eg 2-door w a jdm b18c and i'm sidie by side w/ him until the top of third..is it the weight or do i have a jewel sitting right under my nose?

the only way to find out is to crack open the ecu and look at the chip.

There are tons of different programs, many of them fairly similar. Just open it and see if it's chipped.

You will lose power by moving VTEC up to 6k on a stock B16..Optimum is lovered to 5k or 4.5k (my experience with I/H/E and lots of dyno tuning).

Could be any aftermarket chip..Mugen is VTEC at 5700 and limiter over 9k I think..Crack it open and see

posting under a friends name! i cracked it open and there was nothing to look at. everything seemed stock. no writing on the inside cover. no stickers on the circuit board........what next?
