Default OBD 0 block into 97 EX, wiring ideas, need feedback

I have a obd 0 block and head i got for real cheap. I know I shoulda gone newer but the deal was way too good. Anyways, do you guys think the following wiring will work or is there anything I'm missing: For the block, get OBD 2 oil pump and crank angle sensor, for the head, get OBD 2 dist., knock sensor, ALL new plugs for the motor( whre the wiring harness connects to the motor). I think thats all. I will be using a ITR harness and computor for all this. Do you guys recomend a differant harness? or is that OK? Thanks for the feedback.

Sell it and get at least an obd1 motor. Apparently the deal wasnt that good at all, since your left with a wiriing nightmare. And not trying to flame, but your in for ****.

I put a non obd motor into an obd 1 car and it wasn't that bad. Like you, i got one hell of a deal. If i were you, i would convert everything to obd 1 and use a chipped p28. Less sensors to worry about wireing. Just take it a step at a time and before you know it everything will come together.

Thanks ek9 and fire. I was plannin to go with RC 310cc inj. With the p28, should I use a sohc or dohc obd 1 harness? I forgot to add this is a OBDO B16. I think i'm gonna order the iol pump and crank angle sensor tommorow. And when you say everything, you mean the plugs on the motor? TIA

when i converted the non obd b16 to obd 1 i had to get injectors from an obd1 car (Both dohc and sohc will work), new distributor, obd1 plug for vtec siloniod, and lengthen my coolent signal wires so they would reach the back of the block(obd1 and obd2 cars have the sensor by the therostat).

I used a 95 ex(sohc) harness but a dohc harness will work also. I think obd1 and obd2 harnesses are interchangeable, the obd 2 just has extra plugs that you wouldn't use if you converted to obd1.

I also had to get a header so i could use the single 4 wire o2 sensor and not the 2 o2 sensors that the non obd engine uses.

I think that is about it. Let me know if i can help any more.
