obd2 and 92 octane
Is there anyway I can adjust my timing on my d16y8 to around 14-16* and effectively run 92 octane without fouling plugs and contaminating the oil with unburnt fuel? I know if you run 92 on base timing, you will have more carbon problems than when you run 87.
The thing is I have OBD2, and dont want to investing tuning right now, But the question is, if I run 14-16* with 92 octane (stock is 12), will it effectively be like running 87 octane on 12*? I just dont want any extra carbon in my clean engine, and I want my oil to last as long as possible. One reason is I get shell vpower for cheap.
