o2 Wires?
Ok when my friend was helping me with my header he pulled all the wires out of the harness from the o2 sensor side. i have them reconnected but have a question. There are two identical balck wires. Does it matter in which spot they go? Could the circuit be reversed or something?
The car runs for a while then throws a code 41 followed by what seemed to be another code. 4 long pulses 1 quick pulse followed by poause then one really long pulse then the code for I believe the knock sensor. Cant remember.
After i connected everything back up using diagram in my haynes manual It ran ok til i hi a few bumps. Then I get the dcode again. If the wires are slipping out which they didnt seem to be I guess the connection would be severed. Anything recomended to hold them in there?

Pretty sure the black wires don't matter. It looks like they're just a ground circuit from the wiring diagram. As for the rest I don't have any answers. I've got the wires plugged into the harness the same as you, but mine haven't slipped out yet and I don't get any codes.
Anyone??

Re: o2 Wires? (stevel)
Maybe mine just got bumped and it broke. im gonna use some sealant to hold in the wires and see what happened. I got the same conclusion looking at the daigram.

Re: o2 Wires? (White Lightnin)
I have the same CEL Code. I thought that the white and green wires were the sensor wires and the other 2 black ones were the respective ground wires but obviously that is incorrect. Does anyone know the exact wiring location and matching ECU pins for all 4 wires on the 02 sensor.
What I read from a manual.
Top left is positive primary o2 signal, top right is ground
Bottom left is positive heater signal, bottorm right is ground
However on my o2 sensor the top left wire is white and the top right one is green.

Re: o2 Wires? (Jason kiDD)
Ok I was throwing 2 codes.
o2 sensor and knock sensor. Bootleg twist and shove method is the reason for the knock sensor code. Switched the two black wires and the o2 code dissapeared. All I can say is the colored wires go to their respective partners. The black wires must have to run in a certain direction or something. Try switching them and see what happens. Lucky me I didnt feel like buying a new o2 sensor.
