just a quick ? my o2 is fine but the wire got cut. can i just tie and tape or do i have to solder?

You can always just tie/tape. However, if it's your primary, you'd be better off soldering. Fluctuations in something that controls air/fuel ratio, assuming this is the primary o2 sensor, can harm something (probably fuel economy/power) if it ever rocks slightly loose. You'll be fine doing so, just see about getting it soldered some day or another.
