Re: o2 sensor question
-why are you changing it? most can be cleared of carbon buildup and reused. they don't really fail often unless damaged by unusual circumstances.
-what motor? upper or lower? do you have AirCon? if you have AirCon, its a bitch due to the hard lines. if its an XX year old sensor, I recommend getting "Deep Creep" to loosen up the threads, as its safe for O2 sensors. PB Blaster is not.
-the socket is available at any autoparts store. Its a big socket with a cut-out on the side.

Re: o2 sensor question
I changed my rear O2 sensor (mounted on the cat) in April, and used a pair of pliers.
The only car where I've needed a socket was my '82 Caddy Gangsta car, but...
That IS the proper tool to use. If you have an Auto Zone near you, you can rent one.

Re: o2 sensor question
an 8" adjustable wrench will work, or the proper tool is an o2 sensor socket (kinda obvious) but you want to make sure you get the deep well version
