Default o2 Sensor Problem

Im swapping a jdm d15b into my 93 civic. I took the o2 sensor off my old mani and connector cracked because it was being wipped around by the impact wrench. It also then dropped in a puddle.

Anyways my question is will the sensor still be good if it got wet and I can just connect the wires together instead of using the plugs, right?

Thanks...
