Which o2 sensor is primary With extra qestion
Jumped the blue plug and pulled a 41 code Primary Oxygen Sensor Heater. Which one is Primary and which one is Secondary? Closest to the engine or farther down the exhaust after the cat. It is my understanding that there are two. I am noob and could be wrong on the number of sensros.
97 lx sohc no Vtec 4dr. Haven't figured out all the codes for which engine it is yet so still have to splain it some.
Thanks

Primary is the O2 sensor pre-cat, secondary is post-cat.
Code 41 is the primary O2 sensor, on your model car, it is the one on top of the exhaust manifold.

You mean I don't have to crawl around under the car and fight the one that is rusted in. That's some good news for a change. It makes sense that the first one in the exhaust line would be the primary, but I am not accustomed to logic making any type of impact on what I seem to be doing these days.

More questions:
Many seem to hate the Bsoch for Azone and such. Local parts houses have Dextra made by BorgWarner and the other is made by Standard Ignition. Are thes any good and/or which is better in your experience?

Almost all Japanese cars use Denso or NTK (NTK is the name use by NGK for their O2 sensor brand). Hondas for the most part use Denso as OEM.
I usually stick with Denso or NTK for Hondas.
Sparkplugs.com and Oxygensensors.com are reliable sites I purchased from. I prefer the direct fit O2, over universal ones (which you have to splice wires). I prefer Denso (which cost more though), as they seem to last a long time.
Sometimes a search on Amazon.com gives even better pricing than other sites. Is yours an Automatic or Stick, as I think there might be a difference in the part no.?
