Default o2 sensor help

I need to pass smog...and my o2 sensor is messed up. My engine light is on. Is there a way to switch o2 sensors? Are there any "special" steps taken? Cant i just disconnect my engine light somehow and pass smog? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time & consideration.

you can switch o2 sensors by buying a new one...thats the only fix...

plus a bad sensor will give you bad readings on your smog test..

sorry man you gotta fork up the money..

only way is to replace the sensor. if you unplug your MIL light you WILL fail the test. because checking the light to see if it works is one of the tests they do during a smog test.
