o2 sensor, getting cel one
I've got an 89 dx hatch with a d16z6 motor in it. I converted to obd1 and have the p28 ecu. I'm getting cel 1, which is the primary o2 sensor. I've checked my wiring many times. Here are the pins.
A25 - black o2 wire
A6 - black o2 wire
D14 - green o2 wire
D22 - white o2 wire
I'm almost positive that these are the right pins which leads me to believe that the o2 sensor itself is bad, but I replaced it less than 2000 miles ago.
The exhaust smells like I'm running rich, which could mean that I've destroyed the o2 sensor. I can also smell gas in the engine compartment and inside the car. When I get really close it smells like its coming from either the fpr or the injectors. The number 2 and 3 cylinder injectors are loose enough so that I can rotate them around in the fuel rail.
I have new injectors and an s-afc that I was gonna install when I put my turbo on, but I was wanted to get the engine running right before attempting that.
**Do you guys think that I should go ahead and put the new injectors in to see if my old injectors were the problem?
**Could it be the fpr?
**What else should I look to?
someone suggested that I had my tps sensor wiring backwards, but when I changed it, I got another problem. Now at wot the revs drop as if I'm not on the throttle. At anything but wot the car acts normal (except for o2 sensor cel). Any other suggestions?
thanks.
