Yeah it doesn't look too good. I think I should return it... or can i fix it w/o it costing too much? lmk

Return it, or swap casing's if you do the switch remember to use the proper shim. No two casings are the same so thats why you need the shim.

if he sold you a broken transmission without telling you he probably wont just give you your money back that easily.

Agree'd. You could get it fix if you go to a very good welder but im not sure of the cost. Another thing you could probably do is JB weld it round then drill and tap it.
