Icon6 number one cylinder wont fire

hi i have a 94 del sol with a d16z6 engine i have the number 1 cylinder will not fire i pull the wire off while running and nothing? it seems to run great otherwise at an idle accept a ticking noise in the top end but when i drive it clings and clatters and low power. It has all proper spark and fuel and compression is at 150-155 ish across the board it runs rich i imagine cuz the cylinder wont fire my timing had jumped so i redid the belt and everything and its back in time i adjusted the valves also its just that one cylinder any help please

are you SURE did someone tell you this or did you go out and buy new cap+rotor wires and plugs. compression is good so that can be ruled out.

you're certain mechanical timing is set. when you say jumped by how many teeth ? did you confirm the block was at tdc when you put the head back to tdc ?

it was off by 3 teeth and yes im certain its in time the engine runs and idles smoothly at an idle it is limited to that one cylinder and it has gas compression and spark

how did you check for spark on #1 wire ? are you sure the injector is working ? is the plug wet when you remove it ? have you turned the engine over (by hand ) with the valve cover off to make sure the valves are moving ???

i checked the spark with the spark plug from that cylinder very bright blue spark, all injectors are working, the plug is wet when i pull it out, i have adjusted all the valves and they all open and close properly (5 rotations by hand) and also several times cranking it with the distributor unplugged so it wouldnt start

also the engine has less then 10k miles on a build ran perfect untill the timing skipped (pretty sure it was never timed right though) i thought i got bad gas but im guessing it was the fact that the number 1 cylinder wasnt firing

it's because of the extra oxygen from the dead cly it's an oxygen sensor not a gas sensor. try swaping the injector to a different cly and check your firing order
