Default NRG quick release and short hub.

I want to upgrade from my ichibahn touring wheel and momo hub to a personal fitti wheel, nrg short hub, and an nrg quick release system. i am debating if i want to go with the nrg version 2.0/2.5 or the nrg thin version. i like where my wheel is positioned now with the momo hub. what would you guys suggest? will the 2.0/2.5 versions paired with the short hub push the wheel to far towards the driver, or will the thin version paired with the nrg short hub position the wheel to far away.

can anyone with either of these setups chime in. what is the distance from the base of the hub(plastic steering console) to the back of the steering wheel with either setup. i know this has been covered but my searching hasn't given me any help. thanks.

get the 2.0 qr and the short hub. For more info and pricing PM DRFlickner. I just bought from him after comparing prices among all HT sponsors.

If you like where the wheel is right now with just a hub, then you should definitely get the short hub because the short hub/quick release is supposed to be the same distance as just a regular hub by itself.

edit: Setsuna F Seiei posted it right before me.

thanks for the quick replies. ive seen this pic before and it is very helpful. i notice that with personal fitti wheel, it has a slight dish to it...pushing the rim of the wheel further towards the driver. this wheel paired with the 2.0 quick release and short hub would put the wheel fairly closer to the driver compared to just using the momo hub. this is why im wondering about going with the thin version release. but dont want the wheel to be too far away.

also...what would be safer and/or more durable, the 2.0/2.5 version or the thin version quick release? i think that the 2.0 looks much cleaner w/ the wheel removed. thanks again.

I think you should get the short hub, 2.0 QR, and the lock. Last time I checked they don't make a lock for the thin QR. I'm using the 2.0 with a short hub and I like it. The 2.5 looks retarded with the little handles, and you don't even really need them. The 2.0 is easy to take off.

Just a heads up the NRG thin hub will not work with their thin quick release.

I have the thin hub with the 2.5 QR and a nardi 300mm deep corn so that wheel has a dish to it also. Honestly you are prob just over thinking it. The biggest thing you will notice is that the turn signals are not right at the wheel but its not really that big of a deal. I used to have a momo montecarlo wheel with momo hub and the turn signal stalk not being as close is about the only difference.

btw I am 6'0" tall so I have fairly long arms

thnks for the help. i probably am overthinking things...i tend to when it comes to my car. the trn signals/wipers are already a short reach with my momo hub and wheel, so this isnt a problem. it looks like your hand would hit the levers while turning.

heres a pic i found comparing the distances of the thin version paired with the shrt hub and then one with the version 2 and short hub.
