Default NRG damper review for those interested

It worked great for 2 hours. Then it broke apart. Turns out it can't handle pressure from worn out motor mounts. Replace motor mounts with new factory ones, put in motor mount inserts, and THEN bolt on a torque damper. NOW you're in business! DONT TRY TO PUT THE DAMPER ON OLD MOTOR MOUNTS! IT COULD BREAK!

How about just buy new aftermarket mounts, and not mess with these stupid damper things?

Actually, it's a review for how an NRG torque damper works with worn motor mounts and how an NRG torque damper works with new motor mounts. But thanks for your input though. @98civdx-- I couldn't find aftermarket mounts for this exact application. But that was my first idea. I was skeptical at first too but the damper made a HUGE difference in shifting. Much smoother and came out of gears quicker.

That's not what the title of the thread says. One comes in expecting a review of the NRG damper but instead are treated to the story of busted motor mounts. In a review of product one expects to hear how it performed and what the reviewer thought about said product. We got none of that here.

at least it wasnt COMPLETELY useless, now people are aware to replace their busted ounts before they would try to buy a torque damper

This is not a review at all. You did not post opinions, feelings or results. All you said was that it fell apart because you have a crappy car.

Indeed, this thread is really not very technical or relevant.
