Default Not your typical Ep3 seats in Ek (Ej)

Ok, if you want to flame, flame away but I just want to let everyone know up front that I have put at least a total of 2-4 hours searching over the last two days to find a straight answer on the following question:

can you swap the pans from the stock pan from the 97 hatch seat to the Ep3 one? I haven't heard a straight answer or seen evidence. The closest thing I was able to find was someone did the pan swap in an element (looked sick btw).

To save people time, there are a ton of topics about the welding route and this is what I learned. You would need to do is grind off the Ep brackets and Ek ones and weld your stock Ek ones onto the Ep3 rails. I don't have access and are trying to get more details before I try and go the welding route. I have seen s2000 seat install write ups in a prelude and civic but not the pan swap for this setup.

Thanks in advance

I'd tell you what I did to move my rails back in my EG, remove them, drill some holes, and bolt it up. Really not that hard.

Not really following you since I measured the two rails and they are not the same size. If I try to re-drill the existing brackets, it won't line up. Do you have any pics so I can get a better understanding? From what I read, you can't use the EK rails on the EP seats, it's either the pan swap or removal of the Ep brackets (trash, not needed) and removal of the Ek brackets and then re-weld the Ek brackets on the Ep. This is what I am trying to avoid. I am curious about the complete pan swap.
