Any of you guys having success with the nos or zex kits on your civics.
I have a d16z6 in a 94-EH2. I am thinking about running one or the other.
Dry kit of course. Any and all coments are welcome. Especially the horror
storries and the aftermath if any.

Bought the ZEX kit as my very first mod on my 92si. Ran a 55 shot on my bone stock car (I mean stock paper air filter and all). I ran a 14.82 @ 94 on street tires. While at the track I had no less than 3 other Honda owners ask to see under my hood, then they walked away shaking their heads when all they saw was a nasty/dirty bone stock SOHC running 14s. I haven't had any experience with other kits, but the ZEX kit has been working great for me so far.

ZEX seems to be the more popular kit now...I have a new kit just calling my name, but I'm going to sell.

Not sure if the NOS kit has this or not, but I like the WOT feature on the ZEX that can be installed to activate with pedal pressure. I wouldn't trust myself with a button on any kit.

well the NOS and NX kits use a mircoswitch that you must figure out how to mount. The ZEX reads the voltage of the TPS to measure WOT.

ZEX is just WAY easier to install. Tap the center wire on the TPS for ZEX kit.

I burned up valves on Zex. I've seen a few DX's eat pistons on Zex. Well, the reason that I burned up valves on Zex is because I was filling my own bottles and I had almost 14lbs in 10lb nos bottle. The bottle gauge was way past pegged out.

I didn't blame the kit, but I was using Zex. I think Zex is great, but nitrous is dangerous in the way that it hooks you, and makes you want to get more out of it. More than you motor can handle.

Zex is located here in Memphis. They are good for low HP shots, just slight power adding, I'd say Nitours Express has some of the nicest kits out right now.

purge kit just wastes nitrous and creates a nice show.

so you like nitrous sitting in your lines and then shooting into your motor?

I usually arm the system and do 1 or 2 5 second bursts on way to the track, while still on the interstate.

Besides, if purging is only worth a tenth or less on a 8.90 car running a dual stage 300 shot setup, really not gotta do much on a 13 second car.

Besides, the "slight" delay, if any, just allows the slicks to hook rather than be blasted and going up in smoke. Also easier on axles.

i dont know much about nitrous at all......but i was wondering exactly how bad it is for your motor. I was planning on getting an ls engine and was wondering if i could do nitrous without it being bad for my engine.......but from what i know i would say go with zex
