Default nos for 00 si small shot

i have a 2000 si ....
have an intake and exhaust and headers on the way.. new spark plug wires and ngk plugs.recently installed....

i dont want to change pistons and rods and go full out all enhanced..

i was thinkin like a 35 shot . driving an si with a small shot on my friends car and am looking to get that little bit of power. can you guys make some suggestinos for a small shot that doesnt require tons of mods and wont be so harmful to my engine...wet /dry ??? anything will help....any self expierenced nos guys out there??
direct? single fogger? dry?

A wet 50 shot will be ok and safe. Make sure the plugs you have aren't too cold.

you would even be ok with a 75 dry shot if you retard the timing 3 or 4degrees and get the right plugs. i know quite a few ppl that have 50 shots and retard the timing 2 degrees with colder plugs

zex wet (safer) 55 shot is a good amount to use.

do i have to retard the timing with a 35 or 50 shot?

of course, the rule of thumb is for every 50 shot retard 2 degrees

IM not much of an ignition guy assuming your talking about that..Is it a complex process and/or is there a thread on here that describes how to go about it?? thanks

its actually very simple. you need a timing light of course and once you have that all you do is loosen the bolts on the the dizzy and turn it very slightly and once your timing is where you want it tighten the bolts

also i ve heard if i just get colder plugs on a 50 shot i dont have to change timing?? comments please

changin your timing should take 10 mins AT THE VERY MOST! why skip it when it can help prevent a big boom? dont be lazy.

also dont forget to run atleast 91 octance when you use nitrous but i see you have an si so you should be anyways

Yeah i always use 93 octane...hey im on the nitrous site and i dont see anything that talks about wet kits or dry kits for that matter..what setup should i look for ..for what we have been talking about?

i see direct port 4 cylinder efi and carb ...
if changing the timing isnt complex then like you said i will not be lazy but now im confused with the diff kits...

I think dry shots spry the NO2 into the intake while the wet shot sprays the NO2 directly into the cylinder.

I'll ask a mod to move this to FI/NO2 forum. Those guys can give you more insight.

A wet shot will spray both Nitrous and gas into the motor. a dry shot will spray just nitrous into the motor. for a stock motor, a wet shot should theoretically be safer since it also adds gas reducing the chance of leaning out. I myself prefer a dry shot with a chipped ECU to control the amount of extra gas. but that is entirly up to you.

yeah i read that about the wet kit being safer but something like it doesnt get the equal amount of gas and nitrous to the 1st cylinder?.. i think i read...anyhow i think im gonna go a 35 or 50 shot with a wet set up..i just cant find the one that states this on the nos site...any sites out there for this specific set up----wet shot for civic 2000 si with a 35 0r 50shot (jet?)??????
