it it normal for a b series motor to guzzle coolant?
i just got done with my b20 swap and it runs good but it guzzles a lot of coolant.a lot more than my d series motor did.i have to fill it up like @ the end of each week.im using my stock radiator and it doesnt have any leaks, all the gaskets and hoses are fine.so i was wondering if this is normal on my b20 let alone any other b series motor perhaps even the h22 using a stock eg radiator?if i got a bigger radiator like a gsr one would it solve the problem?thanks for everyones help

Do you notice alot of black smoke coming out of your tail pipe, or anyother wierd smoke? Have you checked around your car for leaking coolant? My guess like everyone elses is that you have a blown headgasket and you are burning off alot of coolant.

i think usually never, unless you over heat your engine then you gotta replace.
we had a camry with 150,000 miles with original almost everyting until mom
didnt want to replace a cracked rad and evetully over heated.

How long has the swap been done. Maybe air pockets are working their way out of the cooling system...

I would just wait to see what happens. Maybe run a compression test on all the cylinders, check the oil for coolant, watch the exhuast etc.
