Noob question about idleing on a gsr motor
Looking at a car with a gsr(B18C1) and the guy said when you first turn the car on it idles alil high back and fourth but when it warms up it idles fine/normal. He said it needs a idle sensor. What do guys think, is that what it needs? Is it hard to change? Expensive?
Let me know some input
Thanks

Re: Noob question about idleing on a gsr motor (ALLMOTOR EK)
could be IACV or FITV, either way you can clean both and reinstall which should fix the problem
and its fairly easy to do

what about the o2 sensor? i know someone who's car did this...he replaced the o2 sensor and it was fixed. if its not that it could be the iacv, tps, or maybe a map. but if it goes away after its warm...i think its an o2 sensor. is it throwing a cel?

he said it idles normally when the car is warmed up... is that still IACV?
i have this same problem, but i always thought it was my cold-start map since i retuned the engine with crome. (we never tuned the cold-start map).
anyway, i'll give cleaning the IACV a shot and see what happens... i didn't think of it because i always thought a dirty IACV will effect idle regardless of the engine water temp.
