Noob question about crank bolt
I'm trying to remove the crank pulley bolt on a 93 Civic DX, 1.5L, and I've gotten nowhere except I have a broken socket. My question is, in what direction am I supposed to loosen the bolt? I've been going counterclockwise, but I noticed the engine turns over the same direction. I've searched online and everything I find just says, "Loosen the bolt." Any help is appreciated!

Re: (jimmy o.)
Yeah its to the left. You might want to take it to a shop and have them at least break it loose then put it back on to the correct torque, then you will be able to get it on yourself. The problem is most shops impact it back on with like 324543 lb ft of torque.

Re: Noob question about crank bolt (_JB_)
One of the known ways to break it loose is described at http://honda.lioness.googlepag...tools
For your 93 Civic DX, you need the second tool listed.
Apply a little PB Blaster to the bolt while you are building the tool.
