Default non vtec to vtec

i have a dx ... and i want to build on my non vtec block ... cant i swap on a 96+ ex head and turn that little non vtec into a dx sleeper? all i need is the ex intake manifold, intake gasket, head gasket, vtec solenoid, vtec cam, vtec wiring harness and maybe some new rods? what else would i need to make this swap happen ? thanks

you need to get the entire EX head. they arent hard to find

itll cost you anywhere from 100-250. and all you have to do is hook up 3 wires.

i heard an Apex VTEC contorller will work just fine ... and u caN Use ur stock non vtec ecu

yes you can use a VAFC with your stock ecu you should also then have it tuned with the correct fuel settings for vtec

its cheaper to buy a used vtec ecu.

yeah, just get the EX ecu along with the head, itll run you something like 50 bucks
