NON-VTEC jdm d15b parts list
I searched, and all I seem to find is info on the vtec motor. MY jdm d15b is non-vtec. It is installed into a 92 CX hatch that I just bought. It needs a tune-up and maybe timing belt, water pump, etc. So, do I buy DX parts? CX parts? VX parts? some frankenstein combination of parts?

Oh, and I also need some gaskets because it leaks oil. I know I'll need the gasket at the distributor...

You sure you're not driving around in a USDM D15B7?
Anyway
THe parts for the timing belt would obviously be for the motor, not the car. I don't know why in any way, shape, or form they'd be for the car.

I've never heard of a "non-VTEC" JDM D15B? I have on myself and its certaintly VTEC. I think someone got tooken for a ride yo . oh yeah correct me if im wrong please .

well for the parts,
you can know for sure by just taking them off and bringing them with you to buy the parts you need.
just compare them on the spot before buying.
for example, a timing belt, just count the teeth, if the tooth count is the same, it will work.
water pump should be the same shape(there are a couple with different housing lengths)
prettymuch everything else is universal, as long as you stay with sohc nonvtec parts.
i'd probably just look for dx(d15b7) parts for the spark plugs, wires, dizzy parts.
oil filter is totally universal(i use an s2000 one on mine).

most certainly depending on what production year (OBD) it is. if its an obd1 motor then yeah, its the JDM equivelant of the b7

Just to confrim and dont mean to thread-jack, but buying parts like water pump, timing belt, engine seals, rods, pistons, ARP studs, etc you want to buy usdm D15B7 parts for the jdm D15B vtec?

The 130hp would be a vtec version... they made a three stage vtec d15b in japan, don't know if that is the 130 you saw. The NON-vtec is only like 108... or 102 or something like that.

the non-vtec d15b is the same thing as a d15b1/b2/b7
it is generally carbureted also, look to see if you have a mechanical fuel pump blockoff plate bolted on near the intake manifold (where a vtec solenoid is on a vtec head)
so basically buy your parts for a 1992 civic dx.

They're all the same, you fucktard. ****, that's worse than a question I would EVER ask. It's the same **** as a regular USDM D15b - DX - 92-95, it'll work, like somebody said, compare on the spot if you want to be sure.

Thank you. Yes, there is a block-off plate where the vtec solenoid would normally be.

LOL!!! you got issues, son. You accuse me of being too stupid to know what my engine is and that the timing belt would go with the engine and not the trim level (duhhh) AANNDDD you even said yourself you didn't even know my engine existed. None of which was even remotely helpful.
First of all, the jdm d15b VTEC does, in fact, take tune-up parts from different USDM motors. Second, there is barely even a mention of my non-vetec version on this entire site... so why you would would get all butt-hurt about me even asking the question makes no sense. If you have a problem with people asking questions about hondas, you probably shouldn't hang around on honda-tech.
