non-terminating turn signals. Help
hey, I got a 96 civic ex coup with turn signals that won't terminate when the temp. outside is below 50 F. anyone know a fix for this? they used to work fine but a year ago, in the winter, they quit. let me know if you got the same problem.

Re: (JDMlifestyle)
There is some mechanical funtion that causes it to click back when you turn. Sometimes my EG civic likes to flip it to the other side when turning the wheel fast. Try and turn a little faster..

Re: (HondaFanatic708)
they use a bi-metal strip... When the strip is energized, the dis-similar metal bends and opens the circuit, then when it cools off it straightens and closes the circuit again.

Re: (nickatiah)
ok, i talked to a tech at the local Honda dealership and he said alot of people have the same problem with there turn signals. My Gf's father's CRV has the same prob. and his was made in '96. also the tech i talked to had the same prob. with his car but it also affected his headlight switch on cold mornings. the part that needs to be replaced is called the headlight/turn signal switch and the dealer part # 35255-sr3-g02 and it costs $121! Maybe the junk yard isn't such a bad idea
