Non-Humor topic about CEL code 16
Ok, as per my previous attempt, I have a 93 Del Sol with a Sir II B16a swap.
I was having problems with my idle being rough and my CEL gave me a code 16.
I was able to look up the code with the great guides on this forum. Thanks!
16=injector When I inspected the injectors I noticed a lot of what appeared to be very large rodent droppings and the #3 injector wire was severed.
It appears the a squirrel got under the hood and chewed the wire in two. The wire was very short so I could not splice it. I was able to solder it back together and wrapped it with electrical tape. Seems to be running fine now.
My questions are as follows:
1. Can you identify what that part is called?
2. Anyone have a part number?
3. Is it O.K. to run it as is?
