Alright I want to start by saying I do not own a civic, yet, I am thinking about it. But I do a lot of work on friends' Hondas. So my question is what is the difference between EG+, EF, EP3 and EK+. I am guessing they are chasis codes but not too sure. Thanks for any help guys I am trying to learn as much as I can.

they are all japanese chassis codes. for some reason, lots of folks 'round these parts like to use them instead of the ol' USDM chassis codes

EG: what we call any civic, 1992-1995. really, an EG is a 92-95 civic hatchback, and all del slows.

EF: any civic from 88-91.

EP3: them new 2002 civic SIs. in japan, an EP3 is a civic type r

EK: civic from 96-2000.
