Nology Ground Strap Install
I just got new wires and plugs and all the tuneup stuff for my 93 Civic EX and while I was at it, I ordered a new ground strap from Nology. Only problem is that there are two leads coming from the mounting hole. Ive searched on here, yahoo, google, and another forum(which SUX cuase no technical info) and couldnt find where the two different leads go to, i know it mounts up on the engine and then right behind the left headlight but cant figure out where the other part goes. Info?
Cliff Notes: Where do the three leads mount to on a Nology Grounding Strap for a 93 Civic EX?

that frame to engine ground like that should go to the bolt you circled not the PS pump bracket.
also 00CivicGirl - I don't know if Nology suggests the way you did it... but you really want to move the wire grounds from the header to the valve cover bolts.
the way you have it in the pics, the wires will pull heat from the header up to the wires which will kill them faster than they normally die.

Re: (Relic1)
yea we were kinda confused as to how to ground each wire. the diagram nology sent was saying to do it that way . i think i threw the box and instructions away but if i find htem i will scan em so you can see
but now that i think about , we tried doing that ground wire from that valve cover bolt that i circled but it wasnt long enough to reach..i am doing some work here soon and i will go through and prob redo it but at least you get a general idea..should be closely similar for the 5th gens

Re: (00CivicGirl)
Just finished the install and the "head" with both leads coming out i put on the valve cover hole in the corner and the short lead i mounted underneath the wingnut on the waterpump and the long lead i put at the original chasis ground behind the drivers headlight. Didnt really notice a change but at the same time it is only a D16 so i didnt expect to but it looks a hell of a lot better than the old rust-color ground.

does anyone know if this is even worth doing. i just went out and got 4 gauge power wire for car audio and put it in place of the original ground wires. looks better cause u can color match ur engine bay.

Re: (Malakai)
Yeah that's all you really need to do.
I just bought a cheap arospeed 4 gauge grounding kit and some 4 gauge power wire.
Grounded:
Head to chassis
block
batt to chassis
intake manifold
transmission
and replaced the battery to alternator with 4 gauge.
Seems cleaner looking and easier than grounding each individual wire. weirdness.

i jsut did it since i was replacing plug wires and plugs and just saw it on there and thought it would kinda clean the bay up cause there was that nasty *** orange wire that was pretty noticable but i guess 4 gauge would work, i just found it to be easier to order this.

are you talking about the plug wires or the grounding strap?
