noise from my apex ws...how to fix it?
There's a rattling sound coming from under my car after I installed my Apex WS on my car. I have a 2000 civic. I'm not sure what it is. I'm thinking that the midpipe is hitting the heatshield or something cause i've read reviews where it tends to do that. Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix it? any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Probably rubbing against your heat shield. Just take it off.
I wish I could have my WS on my EG. I ordered mine back in March and I'm still waiting for the dame thing. Anyone know if anyone has them in stock?

Make sure the pipe isn't being pulled to the shield first. My Tanabe rattle like hell for a while. Everyone said check the heat shield first. I did. It ended up being that my Cat. Conv. was too short. I used my Cat. from my CRX on my EG. The guy at the shop said it would work fine...he was wrong. I had an exhaust shop cut my Cat. and weld in a 1 inch extention. My car purrs nice and deep now.

Dude, I had the same problem on my EG when i put mine on last weekend, as did someone else on the board. In both cases, the "Z" pipe was hitting the heat shield that protects the gas tank. If it was any other heat sheild, I would have taken it off, but if I did, the exhaust would be touching the strap that holds the gas tank on.
In my case, I put a stainless steel radiator clamp around the heat sheild and the exhaust. By pulling them together, the rattling stopped. The other guy removed the heat shield and put header wrap around the exhaust to protect the tank and the strap. That worked too. Try either.
I'm actually thinking of seeing if a muffler shop can make me a new "Z" pipe in the proper shape.

COREY ITR#625: I ordered the ws for my eg hb on wed. from importparts.com. I already got the UPS shipping no. so I'm assuming its on the way. I believe they have them in stock. Give them a call.
