you need a obd2 vtec harness with a obd1 conversion harness to hook up to the ecu

yeah but i pinned the wires into the obd1 harnes that went into the ecu it doesnt throw codes for the selenoid at all if i disconnect the vtec pressure switch it will then throw a code for it..........do i still need that conversion harness?

Re: (95vxtealhatch)
i printed out a sheet of paper with that told me witch wire goes where on the connector for the ecu and went off that and then got the pins and put the wires where the diagram told me for vtec

IMO.... dont be cheap, i think your vtec isn't working because it isn't pinned right. i would buy all the right stuff so this doesn't happen again

did you reset your ECU after swapping the sensors out? under the hood its the only 7.5 amp fuse next to the battery under the lid of that black box.
Its possible you ran the vtec wire incorrectly too.

i don't think the non-vtec harness came with the hook up to the solenoid

Oh right i forgot about the 6th gen type r. So you got an obd2 motor wired into an obd1 car. I think you need that conversion harness. i also think jdmshit.com sells them.

Re: (nicks-eg6)
well i rewired it so it has an obd 2 distributor it has an obd1 alternator and obd2 itr injectors and those are the only things i can think that needs to be obd2 im pretty sure the selenoids are the same tho and yeah its a b16b obd2 motor from the ek but what else would need to be obd2? especially if your just going to convert it to obd1 anyways
