Default No start looking for insight on what I might have overlooked?

Hi everybody helping buddy with his eg Civic dx with d15b7 auto trans that stopped running.
checked spark good
Can smell fuel in cylinder
Pretty sure humming noise I hear in bay is fuel pump running
car turns over and have compression

Car when ran would die randomly when would reversing. Would have to wait a minute or 2 before car would start like flooded
and have no CEL
Car ran around fine yesterday and when went to start later in night just wouldn't fire up

Looking for any help on something I'm overlooking
-thanks

How did you determine spark is good?

Fuel in 1 cylinder, but you don't know about the other 3? What about spray pattern? Do you know fuel pressure at the filter? Do you know if the injectors are pulsing or stuck open?

What are the compression results and how did you check? Have you done a wet test to compare?

Checked spark by pulling plugs and turning car over with them grounded against block
No fuel pressure gage but have a 2foot stream that comes out of it (dont know if thats still the way of judging without one?)

Havent pulled injectors or rail (its not my car but thats where im thinking problem lies)
I currently dont posses a multimeter to do tests and since I cant just pull fuel rail Im doing what I can.

I myself havent dont my own compression testing but was told it was tested not to long ago and hit all its marks

Its not my car and trying my best to help from experience with my crx that I had back in day (had same problems and was o-rings on injectors causing no start/vapor lock issues)

Just got OK to pull rail and have multimeter on the way so I can start moving in right direction. Sticking foot in mouth at how things can rapidly change.

If anybody has the specs for injector voltage from ecu and the resistance the injectors are suppose to be that would be a great help. Since I am pulling them I will also be doing spray test also at same time to see if spray or stream.

-Thanks
