make sure you are throwing no codes. If you have a CEL, vtec will not activate.

um
his VSS not working is causing the lack of VTEC. and only certain CEL's will cause no vtec.

you need to start tracing wires and connectors to make sure everything is kosher in the wiring.

both of you need to check your wires with an ampage meter.

Have you checked your fuses under the dash? Sounds like you might have blown one of the 7.5amp fuses. Check to see if your alternator is working properly, if not, I will bet that you just blew a fuse under the dash.

pull the plug off and make sure there is no corrosion in there, if there is, your not getting any signal.....

does your vss even work? did you replace it with another used vss? Test the vss that you have right now in another vehicle and go from there. Mine went out at one time, so I replaced it and had tried 2 bad used vss's and finaly got ahold of a new one from honda and it all works now. Good luck!!

i had the same problem i just ended up running wires
one wire runs to the cluster and another runs to vss
i think its b10 from the ecu and it runs up under the dash and splits off to the vss and cluster THATS THE POSITIVE WIRE

AND FOR THE KID WHO HAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE TPS AND MAP SENSOR
IM JUST GUESSING SINCE ITS BEEN LIKE THAT SINCE THE SWAP .
TRY SWITCHING THE CONNETORS WITH THE TPS AND MAP BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME CONNECTORS 3 PRUNG
