no speedo, no tach and the car falls on its face around 3000rpm ?
Ok so i have a couple of litle problems with my 98 Ek, my stock tach and speedo dosen't want to work i changed the speed sensor on the tranny and still nothing. The car has a D16Z6 swap in her with OBD2 converted to OBD1 running a P28. Also the car falls on its face around 3000rpm i have changed the dizzy and TPS and still nothing. Car drives nice and all idles great so i just dont know what is the problem.

My first check would be grounds, make sure ground on the rear engine harness and battery is attached and clean. (4 grounds on most EK.EG.DC chassis)
Then next check would be the harness converter...or swap for another harness, then move on to the ecu part (check pins) and again if possible swap and test your ECU in another car.

CEL code 4, so it dosent read the crank sensor. Speedo has been working for a bit now but still no tach and still can't rev pass 3k. But tonight I'm gonna check the conversion harness to see if any pins are lose.
