Default No Resonator, Just Stock Muffler ?

As the title says, is it gonna be a good exhaust set up on stock motor ?
How loud would it be? ( Compare to "coffee-can" Ebay cat-back)

Without the resonator, it'd probably be a bit rhaspy.

I have the stock exhaust with stock cat. I had the resonator chopped off and a shop welded in a straight pipe. Tiny bit of rasp at take off, sounds very sporty to me

if you are talking about a mostly stock setup only without a resonator,... then it will be raspy, bumble-bee, weed-eater... but not loud. You'll hear the rasp because that is the only noise that the exhaust willl make... no rumble or vrooom sound only rasp at certain rpms.

So, If this setup is :

Stock Header,
Test-Pipe-Cat,
No Resonator,
Stock Muffler

Is it gonna be somewhat OK? ( not ricey / cheap ebay exhaust noise) ?

put your cat back on. you dont even have an exhaust system and you put a test pipe in place of your cat??

as for the exhaust note, it will sound raspy. i've heard it done to a 4 banger before. it will sound rice without the bling.

Actually, this is sort of Low-Budget mods
and, on this stock EX motor,
Replaced the OEM Cat with a (straight)Test Pipe,
No Resonator,
Stock Muffler.

Practical comments are welcomed

Just curious as to why you type in bold... as if we're not gonna read it all? But if I were you, and you want to have a nice tone, but with a low cost. Go to you local advance or auto zone and buy the $25-$35 Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler, single in/single out and put that in place of your stock muffler. You'll notice a little more useable power/torque in low-mid rpm range. And it will sound cool. Best part is you can paint it black and put an OEM tip on it, and you'll really be a sleeper! This same setup is on an 11sec EG (after market piping of course) It must be good, because the guy sold me his BuddyClub Spec II in place of it!

All of that is going to net you less than your stock advertised hp. You will lose power with your "low-budget mods"
