Hey guys I went to turn on my car this morning and noticed that the dash lights would turn on in the on postion but seemed there wasnt enough juice to start the car. So i jumped it and now the dash lights doesnt turn on at all when i turn it in the on postion. The headlights work and everythign else except for the starting system. I checked my ground, and battery voltage with a mulitimeter and both are good. Can anybody give me some trouble shooting advice? Thanks.


btw am I the only one that thinks the new h-t search engine sucks?

So, you can't start the car, dashlights don't work, but your parking/headlights work? Very interesting...bump.

Did you check your fuses?

Definitely check for blown fuses. Also clean the battery posts, connectors, and ground wire attached to the engine bay.

If you put the transmission in neutral or park and you wire battery power directly to the starter solenoid (Blk/Wht wire), does the engine crank?

You might also want to check whether the ignition switch is bad.
