No power to ECU
So after attempting to wire up an SI cluster in my 95 Civic, it no longer wants to start. I plugged up my brothers S300 ecu & the little red/ green light wont turn on, it works in his car though. I do not hear the fuel pump turn on when I turn the key. If that helps any...car does crank though.
I've checked & replaced the main relay & checked all possible fuses twice. Still nothing.
I guess I shorted something out while wiring up the cluster?
Any ideas?

Re: No power to ECU
maybe you have a short in the wiring for the cluster, and you popped a fuse? You might have connected two wires in error and you're sending power to the wrong place. Check some fuses.

Re: No power to ECU
sorry, you already did. When I blew my ECU, that's what it would do, just crank all day, and eventually flooded. open it up and smell it. If it's burnt, you'll know.

Re: No power to ECU
ill try re-wiring the cluster tomorrow.
i don't think the ECU is burnt, its just not getting any power, I've tried 3 different ECUs so far, and i think the S300 proved that it was not getting power at all with the green/ red lights that are supposed to come on.
are there any fuses i should replace just to make sure? only one that was blown was the fuse for the cluster and i have replaced it already.

Re: No power to ECU
The reverse lights should still light up if the key is on II whether the engine is running or not.
Check/clean the ground on the thermostat housing, that's the ground for the ECU.
Also, what exactly did you have to rewire for your cluster? Swapping is a plug and play deal unless you swapped one from say an S2000. Is the cluster from a different car?

Re: No power to ECU
replaced the under dash harness, and the engine harness, then figured out it was the fuse box.
so now the car gets power to the ECU and fuel pump... but it wont turn over now.
Any ideas as to why it wont turn over??
