Default No more wheel hop!

I installed an ACT clutch(Xtreme pressure plate) in my turbo coupe about a month ago. Well, I made the mistake of not putting in motor mount inserts at the same time and this is the result....

4 cracks I had wheel hop right after I installed the clutch and continued to race. Wasn't until last weekend when I was under my car that I noticed the mount was cracked. I also lost an exhaust bolt and the shift stabilizer bolt had backed all the way out of the nut and was sticking half way out So I replaced the rear mount today and put in the energy suspension mount inserts. Works great! No more hop at all. Should have done it long ago...

If you wanna prevent wheel hop on hard launches before you race take some air out of the front tires. and you'll not only have no wheel hop you will hook up better too.

Which mounts did you use the Enegery Suspension inserts on? And did it completely get rid of your wheel hop? Reason I ask is because right now I have a HASport rear drag mount but I still get wheel hop. I was ghetto the other day and filled those two torque mounts that bolt to the underside of the frame but haven't had a chance to test to see if that helped either. Maybe I should try and decrease the psi in my tires...

The energy suspension inserts fill in the back mount and the 2 lower front mounts. Yes it completely got rid of hop. I used to even have mad hop shifting from first to second hard. Feels soo much better.

you just take off all the lower mounts. The passenger side you can just pull the mount on the tranny(leave the mount on the frame) and pop the inserts in.
Drivers side I already took my a/c out so the compressor wasn't in the way. Then you pop the mount off and the mount on the frame to get the inserts in.
Rear you take the mount bracket off and pop the inserts in the mount.

what kind of suspension setup do you have? Also traction bars help too.

Honestly, I don't understand how mount insert alone completely eliminated wheel hop for you. Most of us still have troubles. yes, I know that getting traction bars will help tremendously, but looking at it just from a mount point of view, I don't see how these alone would eliminate your wheel hop.

I am just curious on how you launched your car after you put in your inserts. I have a different car w/ stock clutch. I had very bad wheel hop stock (people can see my wheel actually boouncing on the track). Haven't tested my car yet at the track with my inserts.

Also can anyone here give any tips on how to feather the clutch. Thanks
