Default No low end!!! Knock sensor

Hi everyone, I have a 96 hatch back civic.. I recently put a y8 head on the original y7 block since then I've lost all low end and have a knock sensor code!! Where would a knock sensor go on a y7 block? And why no low end?

Timing is perfect couldn't get the marks any closer!! Could it be the knock sensor issue? Where on a y7 block would it go?

Knock goes in a threaded hole on the back of the block

Does the y7 block have the same threaded hole? Or is it just on a y8?

That's not a good thing. It means you can't drive or are trying to break your car.

Bahahaha! This made me laugh real hard. OP, The knock sensor responds to spark knock caused by Pre-detonation of the Air/Fuel mixture. As the flame front moves out from the spark plug ignition point, pressure waves in the chamber crash into the piston or cylinder walls resulting in a knock/ping. This is caused by using a fuel with a low octane rating, overheating, or over advanced timing. Sometimes it can be caused by hot carbon deposits on the piston or cylinder head that raise compression.

And check IGNITION timing. And what injectors are you using? If you're using Y7 injectors, you're doing it wrong.

I guess I have to say it a fifth time, and reiterate the other solution that has been said three times already.

Check your IGNITION timing.
Wire up a KNOCK SENSOR.

Would my timing being off a tooth cause a knock sensor code? Put new one in and cleared all codes, ran it hard, seemed better but my code came back for the knock sensor????

Did you do a complete mini me swap? You said you changed the head. Did you rewire iacv, and change the ecu also? you definitely need to wire your knock sensor in. I feel that's the cause of the "issues" you're having. Throw that knock sensor code, and your ecu pulls alot of timing causing "performance" issues......
