I just installed a a6 black and a y8 head. I'm using the y8 dissy casing and the z6 dissy guts. The main relay is good b/c it works on other cars. When I turn the key on the fuel pump doesn't prime up. If I take the relay out and put a jumper wire from pin 5 to 7 the pump comes on. If my dissy is a 180 degress off work it not let me pump come on??? I searched but didn't really find anything that would help me out. I need my car running asap. If I put the peice that goes on the dissy that connects to the cam on 180 degress off would it make that much of a difference.

i wasn't trying to be a smart ***...just stating the obvious...lot of people here won't even reply to half *** attemps for not asking questions correctly. Just a thought...

i think the ecu is not gettin any signal from the dizzy. did u cut or rewires the dizzy into the ecu

All I did was swap out the guts from the z6 to the y8 distributor. The check engine light is on too

I tried to jump the wire, so I could see what codes I have but the light just stays on

you said you jumped the pins on the fuel pump relay and it worked right than i think its you fuel pump relay thats bad and you should replace it. thats what i would do.

I put the dx ecu in and pulled the ecu fuse for about 20 mins, and then put the ex ecu back it and it runs now
