No engage in my transmission 94 honda civic
I do not seem to have any pressure in my transmission. I got off the off ramp today and a few miles in, I went to press on gas and there was nothing. I pulled over and shut the car off and waited a few minutes and some pressure and engagement came back. I eventually figured out that the vehicle maintained pressure in reverse but as soon as it went into drive it last pressure. The transmission never slipped or did anything weird before this. I was 70 miles away from home and somehow I figured out how to get the transmission enough pressure to get me home. I would have to stop, turn the car off, wait a few seconds, turn the car back on, put the car in reverse, wait a few seconds, feel the engagement in reverse, then shift it into drive, wait for the engagement then it would start driving. I then figured out if I let off the gas at the shift points of the transmission, it would shift. One I was able to make it over 50, I was home free and the pressure felt good in the transmission. I'm now at home and there is no pressure and I can move the gear shift into any gear with no foot on the brake and there is no movement. I need help. Do I need a new trans or is it the solenoids on top of the trans.
